Slightly overwhelmed??????
Looks like the FI didn’t trip 😳🙄😀
I think the main breaker on that line might have been tripped. Maybe someone inserted a penny in the fuse socket?
I once saw one with a nickel inside, probably meant for higher amps lol 😂
Doesn’t typically
Why do you ask?
I witnessed a short circuit that was well balanced.
I’ve seen that happen multiple times. Once, I witnessed one catching on fire while we were looking for a tripped breaker in a maintenance shed at a golf course. If water gets in, they tend to do that. There’s something inside the FCIs that melts.
Why isn’t the main breaker tripping?
I can’t help but find it ironic that a safety mechanism caught fire. It seems like you support FCIs in the panel.
Were you attempting to trip the breaker? Why would you do that? Federal Pacific has a tendency to cause this issue.
I’d probably say it’s wired incorrectly
Hey there
Seems like there is a loose connection
Quite common when they become soaked
Water can be problematic.
All things eventually stop working… Sometimes resulting in a fire.
I requested it to be cooked medium, not well done! 😄😄
Whether it was a short circuit or a loose connection, it caused the issue.
Can you explain what a slap connection is?
But what on earth happened there, the surge protector didn’t even work? 😮😬
Is there an issue with that?🔥
Seems like some water managed to get inside.
Hey, remember to water your plants!
Yes, when water comes into contact with the plastic, it heats up and can catch fire. I’ve witnessed it a few times myself.
Does it get too hot after going from cold?
You really went and sawed there, didn’t you?
Ary M Kavala I worked on jobs in a spa where the ground wasn’t connected properly to the FI. Water seeped in, causing the FI to overheat and melt the plug. The water was the root of the issue, as the FI wasn’t grounded correctly to trip the plug.
😬
Oh yes, indeed, there was a fire!
Looks like there’s a lose connection
Only the finest (FCI)
This happened because the neutral wire of the service was broken. It caused a fire that partially melted the plug and cord of the TV that was connected to it, but it did manage to protect the TV.
