I’m always amazed by those who put in extra effort only for something to go wrong. Just watch a quick 2-minute YouTube video or ask someone at an electrical supply store to get the right fitting.
Looks super secure, you can tell they really made an effort to use a good strain relief. Probably more reliable than some store-bought connectors. I’d give it a solid 8 out of 10. I usually just wrap it up with electrical tape to keep it in place. Have to be careful with these finicky folks around here. They attempt to bring commercial electrical stuff into your home. Can you believe it?😆

I believe the fixture for termination wasn’t there.. so he decided to leave the cable in a safe way.. kudos to him for prioritizing safety and taking the time to ensure it’s safe for others..

The Sharpie inside the box is labeled “IDF,” but it seems like it was meant to be “IDF” based on how this was set up.
That is unbelievable!
They were hesitant to go to the supply house, but luckily they had 2 hole clips on hand. It wasn’t ideal, but at least it was a safe temporary solution until they could get the right parts.
Seems suitable for space use. Also, remember to solder silver onto wires before twisting them. Not sure about connecting the green Earth wire in space.
Avoid covering with drywall. The cover plate should remain visible.
