How would you improve the look of the house’s siding without spending too much, considering it’s cedar with damaged boards, by possibly painting it a certain color to match the metal light brown roof?

Hey, what do you think we should do with the siding on the house? We’re in the process of fixing it up and there’s still so much to do, but we’re brainstorming ways to improve the exterior without spending a fortune. We’re considering painting it since it’s cedar and there are some damaged boards.

We’re also adding a deck that will wrap around the whole house.

If we do decide to paint, what color do you think would look best? The roof is a light brown metal color.

Appreciate any input you have!

My suggestion would be to restain some parts and paint others black (or white, charcoal, or forest green) to add an elegant touch. Check out these random internet inspiration pictures of lighter stained cedar paired with a second color.

Consider pressure washing and restaining the wood.
