How should I seal the gap between drywall and duct outlet before installing a new register – sealer or duct tape?

Hey everyone! I’m sprucing up our home office with some fresh paint on the walls and ceiling. Before I install a new register, I want to make sure I seal the gap between the drywall and duct outlet. Should I use duct tape or a sealer for this? Thanks for your help in advance! 🙂

Aluminum tape should do the trick.

I believe the best course of action is to consult with a priest – any priest. It sounds like an exorcism may be necessary!
