How should I properly connect surface drains to a new retaining wall with a french drain when replacing a rotten deck with a concrete patio?

I’m in the process of tearing out an old deck that’s seen better days. Most of my yard is covered in concrete decking, but I’m looking to switch things up with a 12.6 x 12.6 concrete patio in place of the old deck. However, before I can tackle that project, I need to deal with the old retaining wall that’s currently in rough shape (it’s made of railroad ties and doesn’t have proper drainage). I’m planning to add some surface drains where the concrete stops to help with water flow. My idea is to build a new retaining wall using retaining wall bricks and include a french drain for better drainage. My question is: should I connect the surface drains to the same perforated pipe behind the retaining wall, or should I use a separate non-perforated pipe? What’s the best way to go about this?

Make sure to leave space for the lines in the ditch and then cover them with about 1 inch of wash gravel. Put filter fabric on top of that. Remember to use SDR35 pipe because corrugated is too thin and schedule 40 is too much.
