How should I go about staining and sealing my untreated hardwood ash floors if I plan on installing them myself?

Hey, I could use some tips on hardwood floors. I’m getting ready to put in my own untreated ash hardwood and I’m thinking of staining and sealing it on my own.
1. What’s the process for sealing and staining?
2. Any recommendations for products to use?
3. Can we stain and seal while still living in the house, or should we clear out while it dries and airs out?
Thanks so much for any help!
Not to sound like a know-it-all, but if these are the questions you’re asking, it might be best to avoid DIY. I’ve seen this scenario play out many times and I just want to help you save time and money in the long run. If you’re up for it, you could handle the installation and then bring in a professional for the finishing touches. It’s actually not as costly as you might think.
‘t worry, if you can follow instructions, you’ve got this. It’s really not that complicated. Feel free to ask as many questions as you need to beforehand and take your time. Just a heads up, it might take longer than you think, so try to avoid cutting corners.
Hey everyone, I’ve made the decision to go with pre-finished engineered hardwood and I’m planning to install it myself.
Hey, , make sure to use the correct tool for the job 🙂
