At a certain point, the contractors must have known that area would be blocked off. Why didn’t they run ipex from the conduit to the Mason box instead of using this unpleasant solution?

I’ve got quite a mess here.
I’m truly impressed by that.
Extension rings can be such a pain to install after the fact. Thanks a lot, cabinet guys, for building it out 3-4” past the electrical that was supposed to go there 😝. I’ve also seen it under sinks when the plumbing was cut wrong and they just added layers of wood on top.
Well, at least the wire isn’t only 3 inches long.

I think there’s a possibility of stripping the wires, but it’s not too terrible since there are only two wires! I’ve seen worse, I suppose 😄

In the USA, there was a receptacle in a previous nursing home.
I’ve had to pull wire through those kinds of boxes in the conduit, going from box to box and making 90-degree turns. It was a real pain when I had to do it at a courthouse!
