How much distance should I maintain between flammable items and a furnace pilot light in my basement renovation?

I’m in the process of finishing up my basement and I’m trying to figure out how much space I should leave unfinished. Quick question – how far should I keep stuff that says “keep away from open flames” from a pilot light? You know, like spray paint, oil-based varnishes, and latex paint. Would 6 feet from a furnace be a safe enough distance? I tried Googling it, but all it says is to keep them away. I even added a picture to grab some attention.
No need to keep those items stored in an unfinished basement. Eventually, you’ll end up getting rid of them, leaving you with an empty space. Just be sure to allocate space for maintaining and replacing essentials like the water heater. Feel free to finish up as much as you’d like.
Is correct. Thank you.
My shelf is approximately 6 feet away. I just wanted to confirm if that distance is far enough in case of potential flammable fumes. I believe I am in good shape, but it never hurts to double-check.
