How many sheets of drywall can be safely stacked on their side against a wall in order to save space in the basement?

Hey, so I’m trying to make more space in my basement. Do you think it’s safe to stack drywall sheets on their side against a wall? I’m thinking about stacking around 20 sheets.
Oh, that’s the way they pile them up for delivery.
Yes, it’s much easier to work with
Just for now, but be sure the wall is sturdy.
Try to keep them as straight as possible
As long as the floor remains dry, you can stack the sheets vertically with a slight angle to prevent them from tipping over. However, if the floor gets damp, you’ll need to address that issue before proceeding with any finishing touches
Drywall is usually laid down flat at the stores…that’s how I would approach it.
That’s the common technique among drywall installers. It’s more convenient and helps protect the edges from moisture. Start by placing a couple of 2x4s on the floor perpendicular to the wall and then stack the drywall on top of them
There is a limit to how many sheets you should lean against a stud wall, I believe it’s around 34 sheets of 10 feet, but double check with the supplier
