We’re redoing a room in the basement, like a living room or den, and we’re planning on putting in some recessed LED ceiling lights. The room is about 13 feet by 24 feet. Any suggestions on how many lights we should install, and how bright they should be?
My basement is of a similar size, and I have 3 rows of 3 lights spaced evenly. The lighting appears to be just fine.
For the perfect lighting, make sure to install a dimmer switch and use dimmable LED lights. This way, you can adjust the lighting to suit any need.
Do you know how much extra that would cost?
Around 10 to 15 dollars
Awesome, appreciate it!
Yep, I have two rows of 3 lights. It’s quite easy to install them nowadays. Just take the ones where you can separate the connection-driver box from the light – makes it even easier to install. Or you can take the ones with quick plugs in the box, which makes it even easier. I prefer the ones with 3K, 4K, 5K settings (I usually use 4K, but 3K is cosier). ‘t forget to choose a good dimmer. And get yourself a 4-inch 1/8 hole saw.
