How long did it take you and your wife to assemble the prefabricated wall kit for your dad’s new shower, while working 1500 miles away?

My dad recently purchased a wall kit, prefabricated pan, and door from Menards. My wife and I spent seven days putting it together this past week, even though we were working from 1500 miles away. My dad, who is in his 90s, wanted a low step-over and a seat in the shower. The old shower he had was from the 80s and fully enclosed.
Looks fantastic! I’m sure he’ll feel much safer now.
Thank you for being such a wonderful son.
That’s fantastic! Did you put it up directly on the stud or did you have to put up drywall first?
Wanted moisture resistant drywall or something even better. I decided to go with the blue moisture resistant drywall they have in stock. The package includes adhesive and a detailed diagram showing where it should be installed.
Oh wow, so beautiful!
We’re about to do the same thing, it’s looking fantastic!
You’re such a wonderful son!
Are you thinking about going with the same kit? Would you choose that brand again?
Got it, the panels and trim came flat with a protective plastic covering. They provided more than enough adhesive and caulk. They even have a YouTube video showing the installation process. The plastic sheets and trim are about 1/4 inch thick. The marble pattern layer is reminiscent of what they use on vinyl plank flooring.
Sounds good, appreciate it! We’re looking for a direct-to-drywall option that includes a window, but the choices are a bit limited.
Great work!
Wow, you all did an amazing job! I bet your dad will really appreciate this 🙂
