How does your 14-year-old son’s eagerness to work with you on wiring projects reflect his ambition and skill development?

My 14-year-old son loves coming to work with me more than anything else! Today, he helped out by running some wires and setting up receptacles in a new addition. He’s already saving up for his first car, he’s so motivated! Just wanted to clarify, for those concerned about the way the wires are set up – it’s a garage and covered patio, so there’s no need for them to be perfectly straight. It’ll all be hidden once the ceiling is installed.
Why is this account always sharing content that isn’t theirs?
Because unfortunately the page admins don’t screen people when they join 😭 There are a lot of fake accounts here
Because AI bots are used to generate traffic to the page.
Patrick allagher can we take down the admins lol coup de tat
It’s coup d’état by the way.
I’m not a fan of French people so I won’t bother with the accent marks 😂
I love this! Teaching him the value of hard work is so important. Also, teaching him to have respect for authority and for the President Of the United States, who was elected by us, the people! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Where do you think we would be if the founding fathers had heeded your advice?
I’m not sure, but it’s worth noting that the founding fathers wrote ‘all men are created equal’ while also owning slaves. So, I take their words with a grain of salt.
Absolutely…and if you blindly follow authority just because of someone’s position, we’ll end up in the same place.
Respect should be earned, not given away for free, regardless of who it is.
Did you know that black men were granted the right to vote fifty years before women?
Tawanda reen, what other stereotypes do you have about black men?
You’re correct. I can’t respect someone who supports a man who flew on planes and spent time on an island with a convicted child rapist.
As long as it passes inspection, you’re good to go, bro.
I just helped my 6-year-old do the same thing. Running the line and pipe
I achieved it, and so can you. Someday you will become a master:))
It doesn’t matter if things are getting chaotic, you goofball. When a client comes in, they may not understand the reasons behind certain requirements or how things operate. But if they see a mess that looks unprofessional, they will think poorly of your work.
Amazing
Well done, you must be proud. Electricians are truly something special… more than just a brotherhood. It’s an honor to be a part of it.
Electrical work is just another trade. It’s nothing special. We don’t receive a medal for simply doing our job.
It’s not about a medal. It’s about taking pride in the work you’ve accomplished and being part of something you love to do.
I have to disagree… We save lives. How many times have you gone to a job site, seen how messed up it was, and fixed it, knowing how bad it could have been? If you don’t feel the same way, then it’s just a job to you, and that’s okay for you, but not for me. Thanks for your input. ⚡️Have a Blessed day⚡️
I’m right there with you buddy. I take pride in the fact that we save lives. Absolutely.
Maybe if you improve your spelling, you could earn a ‘medal’!
That’s not accurate at all! Ever heard of craftsmanship awards? Many companies give their employees plaques. If you work for a good company and do well, you receive more recognition than any other trade in the world! 🤷♂️
Back in the late 60’s, we did a ton of work at the Court House in Bisbee Arizona. I was just 12 years old and small enough to crawl through Bar joist ceilings. (We really should train a monkey or dog to help with the cables)
I recently watched a video of a dog pulling a string, it seemed to be in an Asian country. Some people in the U.S. might view that as a violation of the dog’s rights.
Will hit 6 figures by the age of 16!
I love this, I wish I had this kind of structure when I was a child
Isn’t this cool?
He’s gonna be killing it by the time he’s 21-25

It’s getting rare to find kids like this..
But keep it up!
I don’t think it’s very common for kids to actually want to work. They might say they do because of the money, but I’ve never heard of a child who genuinely wants to work.
People like , who are adults that work, are quite unique.
Oh, I hear you loud and clear on that one, Oliver!
We could use more of this type of thing. I actually got my start at 5 years old, just cleaning and sweeping, and it all took off from there.
Mashallah, that’s wonderful
Teach them when they’re young
Awesome work! 💯☑️😎🔝
I find it intriguing
That was me brooo!! I’m now 21 years old and working full time with my pops!! I hope to take over the business one day!! reat work brother
Where did he find that one piece ensemble for work?
Nice work. I got my two boys started when they were 15. It really paid off.
As a kid, I began working as a plumber helper with my neighbor. But as I grew older, I discovered my true passion for electrical work. I made the switch and have never looked back!
My dad got me into industrial sites around the same age. It was an incredible experience.
Awesome job, dad!
Reat job, and he’s got a big smile on his face!
That is amazing! You must be one proud dad and your kid is one lucky little guy!
I used to work every day I had off from school and most of my summers for my dad. I didn’t always enjoy it and would have rather been hanging out with my friends, but now, at 46, I appreciate the skills and strong work ethic I developed from those experiences. It’s never too early to start teaching them the value of hard work!
Back in high school, I used to goof off with my buddies like . I didn’t gain anything of value and didn’t form any lifelong friendships. It was just a waste of precious time.
If he were to ask for a job at my company, it would definitely be an issue for me.
Help that guy find some ladies

Teaching them young is truly awesome!
As both a parent and an electrician, I think this is fantastic
I did the same thing, and now I’m a Journeyman Level 5 Master Electrician and Pipe Bender 3000.
It’s always great to have a short person around. 👍
Not true
As long as he’s not spending 8 hours a day playing video games, you deserve the father of the year title. You won’t have to worry about him being unemployed. Whether he goes to college or chooses another career path, he will always have a skill.
Those young folks are the real money makers, especially in residential. I entered the trade back in 1988 in South Florida, started with custom homes. It was lucrative, worked quickly, then piece work became a cash cow. However, after 4 years of apprenticeship school and obtaining a journeyman license, it all came crashing down in January of 1999 when the republicans passed a bill to remove the requirement for licensed electricians. From there, it all went downhill as now almost all new construction in Florida is done by undocumented workers.

I’m about to turn 36 soon and start my apprenticeship. I love seeing these kinds of posts on here 😍
If you’re going to teach him, make sure to do it the right way.
If you’re going to teach him, might as well teach him the right way.
Mine always said he didn’t want to be an electrician when he grew up. uess what he’s doing now… he’s excelling as a top helper and is actually a really good hand.
No need to justify those poor Romex installations…they should be done professionally and with skill…🤷🏻
Ehhhh that’s amazing to see! Such a great way for them to get a head start, really hoping mine will be just as motivated
A lot of people say they’ll support you, but not many actually do. I can’t thank you enough for your help Duran, you’re truly amazing to work with. Your honesty is truly valued
Thanks ✅ 🙏 Duran Lyric
Make sure to keep track of those hours because they count towards his journeyman test.
America! Heck yeah.
I come from a long line of electricians. I started working with my grandfather at 11, then with my dad, and now we still work together at our family business Snow Electric, which has been around since 1969
