Do you have any sturdy straps and screws?

You can find PVC pipe hangers shaped like a J at Home Depot that should do the trick

Secure the wood to the wall using Tapcon screws and then attach the pipe to the wood with a clamp.

Judging by the basement’s appearance, I’d be more concerned about other things.

I first noticed had a single pane window with no insulation, and boards filling in where the window used to be. That was my initial observation.

Could you please make use of a pipe support?

This situation calls for a licensed plumber to address! Avoid attempting to adjust gas lines or add straps yourself, as this could lead to leaks in other areas. The flex line is not correct, and other lines may also not be up to code depending on their sizes. It’s crucial to contact a reputable, licensed plumber for issues with the gas lines – and don’t forget to inquire about other pipes as well.

Pipe straps are a great option for supporting sprinkler pipes. You can choose between all thread accepting straps with bases that accept the same all thread, or standoffs that allow you to cut a length of all thread to support the pipe where it needs to be.

I’ve also used wood lag bolts on a sturdy surface, followed by an electrical one-hole strap or iron hanger. By the way, you might want to have your plumber inspect that 90-degree connection on the right; it appears to be rusty galvanized.

Is that flex line connected to a grill or something outdoors? You can secure it to the yellow pipe which seems to be 1-1/4″ or 1-1/2″ in size. There are universal strapping options available for this type of support. Once you’ve strapped it, you can use a mixture of dish soap and water to check for leaks. Best of luck!

If you want an easier way that won’t cause your drain pipe to sag, you could use some plumber’s strap to wrap around the drain pipe and extend down to the gas line to provide support. Just make sure you don’t create any leaks in the gas line – you can check by applying soapy water.

Where is that gas line headed to?
