How do I properly secure and connect a porch post and bracket on my new house, especially to concrete, and is there a recommended bracket for this?

I’ve got this porch post that needs replacing on my new place. I’ve got the post and bracket ready to go, but I’m a bit unsure about how it all fits together. Do I need to secure the bracket to the concrete somehow? And how exactly should I connect it to the post? Is there a different bracket I should consider using instead?
Try getting a U shaped one and make sure to anchor it to concrete and a post.
