Hey , thanks a lot! The upper portion is painted with Sherwin-Williams Essential Shade, while the lower part is Valspar Signature in flat black.
I’m loving it. It’s bold but not over the top. The natural earth tones combined with the striking black are blended well.

I think those are 1X2 pine boards, with the top two pieces being a 1X4 and another 1×2.

Sure, go ahead and paint the switch, maybe use black switches and paint the plug too. I totally agree with what others have said. They just stand out too much and distract from the lovely wall with the beautiful batten.
