How did you surprise your daughter with a bathroom project while she was away for a weekend a few years ago?

A few years ago, I worked on a bathroom project as a surprise for my daughter while she was away for a weekend.
Having a pedestal sink here doesn’t seem practical. You took away the only countertop and there’s no storage apart from the medicine cabinet.

My wife and I worked really hard to get everything done, putting in long hours like we were on one of those renovation TV shows that finish projects in just a couple of days.
Looks great to me. Did she approve? Pedestal Sink with no more sharp edges to run into!
She was so thrilled when she came home, it was a great surprise for her!

We purchased a house with a similar bathroom. Ours was bright pink. ot rid of it in the first year!
Our bathroom had the tub under the window, so I blocked the lower part of the window with plywood and installed a surround. Couldn’t tell from the outside.

Hey buddy, the outcome turned out really well. Those plastic tiles are quite funny though, can’t believe someone actually thought they were a good idea back in the day!! This house was constructed in 1943 so maybe it was due to shortages of certain materials.
Todd ohn Maybe so. My house dates back to 1934, but I always thought those tiles were a trend from the 70s.
My only issue is with the ceiling and how easily the butt joints were done. Everything else looks good. Hopefully she appreciated it. I mean, it was nice of you to do it, but maybe she would have liked to be involved in the project to provide input, considering it’s her house, right?
