How did adding wainscoting significantly enhance the overall appearance of the space?

You wouldn’t believe how much of a difference a little wainscoting can make, both before and after!
Do you think it needs another layer of paint?
Yeah it does. We also overlooked some nails that need to be filled. We still need to paint the wall above it, but we’re almost done.

I’ve been thinking about tackling this project myself. Could you share how difficult it was? Also, did you secure it to the wall with glue or finishing nails? And did you seal all the small gaps with caulk or silicone?
So Christopher and Emmy thought it would be a piece of cake, but it turned out to be more challenging than they anticipated. The trickiest part was getting the angles just right. If you’re installing a shelf on a flat wall, it might not be as difficult. They decided to use a nail gun. I’ll find out from him whether caulk or silicone is better.
Totally worth it though!

I believe the transformation was mainly due to the lighting and the addition of white! It really made a difference.

Mentioned that he filled in the cracks where the boards met the wall with wood filler, and fixed any seams where the wood connected.
