How can we improve ventilation in our front hallway with a partially obstructed vent under the wall on a slab-on-grade house?

Hey, got any thoughts on this? We’re sprucing up our front hallway – just giving the slate floor a little TLC. The vent is partially under the wall, and we’re wondering if there’s a way to maximize airflow into the hallway. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I don’t believe moving anything now will make a big difference. It seems like a lot of effort for little benefit. If the duct isn’t performing well, consider placing a booster fan closer to the heat source. An easy solution could be a vent fan on top of the duct itself, which is a simple and cost-effective option.
