How can we effectively shield our enclosed porch from rainwater while still allowing for proper drainage?

We spruced up our front porch and added new stairs. We decided to enclose the porch to store the grandkids’ bikes and tricycles. We’re trying to keep rainwater out, but our covered porch doesn’t fully protect everything from getting wet. We’re thinking of putting something underneath the porch to catch the water that drips through the top of the 2x4s, maybe a plastic sheet at a slight angle to direct the water off the front of the porch onto the cement. Any ideas on what we could use for that? Also, just a heads up, the colors might look different in the photos, but they’re actually the same – just different lighting on different days. I used a few shades of green for the project. 😁

I’ve used metal roofing before. Flipped it over, so the white side is facing down- technically the correct side when you’re underneath it. Makes the porch look brighter that way. Had to remove shims out of the wood though. Unless it’s a short span
