How can we best utilize furniture placement and selection in our partial house renovation, considering a natural oak floor and light grayish white walls, without mounting a TV above the fireplace?

We’re about to start a little home makeover! We’re planning on redoing the floors in the great room to a nice natural oak color and painting the walls a super light grayish white. I’m looking for some ideas on where to put the furniture and what new pieces to add. We can’t mount the TV above the fireplace because we’re not wired for it, plus we have a satellite box to figure out. Can’t wait to hear your suggestions!

I like how the furniture is arranged. I agree about changing the furniture (even though the couches look comfy) to suit your style. I would definitely take down the valence, switch out the carpet, fan, and wall decor.
