How can we address the lack of ingenuity in this building project that needs fixing?

I guess we definitely need to work on being more inventive around here. It’s something we haven’t quite tackled yet in this building.
EMT is not the best option for hanging fixtures. Use steel rigid conduit instead, preferably with an articulated knuckle to prevent breakage if someone accidentally hits it.

You’re definitely correct, this is not up to code.
