Use steel rigid conduit instead, preferably with an articulated knuckle to prevent breakage if someone accidentally hits it. EMT is not the best option for hanging fixtures. Use steel rigid conduit instead, preferably with an articulated knuckle to prevent breakage if someone accidentally hits it.
