How can the door and window be trimmed effectively in such close proximity?

Do you think there’s a more efficient way to trim the door and window when they’re so close together?

If the usual flat stock, take out the 2 pieces that are next to each other and create a single piece.

Suggested using flat stock at the top of the window and door instead of mitered corners, and then adding another piece of flat stock across the top of both sides.

Opt for narrower trim to allow for a gap if possible.

You could find casings that are approximately a quarter inch smaller

Why not grab some paintable caulk, run a line along it, then paint over it to blend it in as one seamless piece?
