How can I securely hang framed art on painted brick without it falling and breaking?

I’m feeling really bummed out right now. I attempted to hang up some framed graphic art above my fireplace on the brick. I thought Gorilla mounting tape would do the trick since it’s made for brick, but when we came back from our weekend trip, all three frames had fallen and broke.
Does anyone have any advice on the best way to hang things on painted brick?
I prefer using brick hooks. You can find them at Lowes.
