How can I safely install a 17″ Samsung One Connect box enclosure near a stud with a stapled romex and cat 5e cable?

Hey, so I’m looking for some advice on setting up a 17” Samsung One Connect box for my 65” TV. I’ve got plenty of space for the box, but I’m trying to position it as close to the center of the wall as possible. The only hitch is that the center studs have some wiring stapled to them – one has a 14/2 romex going down to a plug, and the one next to it has a cat 5e cable. I’m thinking of using a plastic Legrand OnQ 17 box and adding power from the lower plug in the wall. The cat 5e cable is on the other side of the stud, so I’ll need to drill a hole and run it across. I also picked up a surge protector outlet and some different plastic boxes, but I haven’t decided which one to use yet. Do you think it’s okay to let the romex run along the side of the plastic box?
