How can I restore a mirror with worn silver backing, despite trying mirror finish spray paint?

I’m wondering how to improve the appearance of this mirror where the silver backing has worn off. I already gave mirror-finish spray paint a shot, but it didn’t do the trick. Any other ideas?
If it’s damaged near the edges, consider covering it with something decorative or replacing it.
Thank you. I was thinking about trying a decorative stained-glass etching technique, but I’m open to more suggestions. I want to keep it unique since it’s different from any similar products on the market. The vanity mirror features engraved mirror openers.
Have you considered reaching out to a glass cutting company to see if they can cut a new mirror for you? You could also look into stick-on mirror handles.
A restoration specialist can re-silver it for you. I used to do this in my shop 15 years ago, using harsh chemicals and getting paid well. Eventually, buying a new mirror became cheaper than repairing it. Towards the end of my career, I focused on high-end and sentimental pieces. Just a heads up to keep in mind.
It’s not worth the trouble.
As mentioned.
Looks like water damage has occurred.
Spray painting the back is a process that you can learn about in this video tutorial: https://youtu.be/kDvIZv6CKK8?feature=shared
It’s actually quite simple.
