Hey, have you noticed the indents and scratches on your laminate wood or vinyl flooring from moving furniture around? Do you know how to refresh or fix that kind of damage?
First things first, could you specify if it’s wood or vinyl?
Believes it’s vinyl, the thin type
If it turns out to be vinyl, there aren’t many options for filling in gaps. You could try using a Magic Eraser or a buffing compound with a pad to help lessen or remove the smudges.

To be honest, my flooring looked quite similar and turned out to be engineered hardwood when we removed it! We’re getting it refinished, sanded, and stained now. (We initially mistook it for laminate.)
First step is identifying the type of flooring. There’s no one-size-fits-all solution for flooring issues. If it’s vinyl, your best bet is to keep it clean as dents and tears are usually not fixable on older vinyl. For laminate, it’s pretty much the same. You might try using filler, but it often comes out after mopping a few times. Wood floors offer more repair options.
I’ve never come across vinyl or laminate with that kind of damage. I think it’s engineered hardwood – a thin layer of quality wood on top of substrate layers, with a factory finish. The top layer could be very thin. You should check with a professional if you want to sand and refinish, or look for a contractor who offers sand-free options.
