How can I refinish my table to achieve a similar style as shown in the video and minimize stains without sanding?

Can you lend a hand with these marks on the table? Appreciate your help.
This table is gorgeous, but it seems to attract stains like a magnet. (The big one in the middle happened the same day we brought it home 馃槀馃槀)
I’ve been thinking about refinishing it, but I’m hesitant because I’m not sure how to achieve the same look as the one in the video.
Do you have any advice on refinishing it to match the video or any tips on preventing more stains? (I don’t think I can completely remove them without sanding.)
Thanks for your assistance.
If I had my own table, I would sand it down completely and then apply a similar color stain before sealing it with a good poly
Do you have any tips on how to achieve the same grainy effect as the current stain?
Is that actually real wood? If so, all you need is a semi-transparent oil stain to maintain the natural grain of the wood.
That’s correct. I think it’s genuine wood and the surface isn’t sanded to be smooth. It’s quite rough, with visible peaks and valleys.
Oh, got it, ! If the surface isn’t smooth, then it may have been intentionally distressed. Sanding it down would remove the roughness. If you want to maintain that look, I’m not sure what to do. ‘t you prefer a smooth table?
