How can I quickly fix a hole in my kitchen sink to prevent objects from falling through?

So, I discovered a hole in the kitchen sink. Any ideas on how to temporarily patch it up to prevent things like forks from falling into it easily? What part do I need to fix it?
If I were you, I’d go ahead and prepare some JB Weld to fill in that hole.
Are you intending to fill up the entire drain?
Ary Louk, why not ask questions? Haha I initially thought a piece of debris was a hole, and he was just trying to cover it up until he could replace the sink. Sometimes we need more information before jumping to conclusions.
That question could have been worded better. But don’t worry, it happens.
Are you referring to the drain? If that’s the case, a drain basket should do the trick.
Have you tried applying JB Weld underneath?

I discovered some strainers with slightly bigger holes instead of a mesh screen. After trying both, I realized that the larger holes make it easier to clean, especially after washing something with melted cheese.
Rabbed some 2 part Marine Epoxy, roughened it up, applied it evenly, all set 👌
Ot a sink shroom from lowes
Oh, that’s a drain!
