How can I properly install tapered ceiling tiles in a storage room with corners without making them lopsided and is there a specific tool for this?

Hey there! So, I’m in the process of putting up a drop ceiling in my basement storage room. The ceiling tiles are tapered, which means I’ll need to do some cutting to fit them around corners and smaller areas. I’ve noticed that when I cut them, one side ends up tapered while the other doesn’t, which makes the tile look a bit lopsided. Do you have any tips or tricks for installing these types of tiles in this situation? Is there a special tool I should be using for this job? My initial thought was to cut halfway through the top of the tile about half an inch from the edge, then slice a half-inch lengthwise along the side. But I’m not entirely sure if that’s the best method.
You’re pretty good at guessing, that’s exactly how I make them.
I prefer to use a table saw because it’s faster and cuts cleaner, but make sure to connect a vacuum to it. I could do it freehand, but I’m a bit lazy.
