How can I properly connect the hose from the dishwasher to the garbage disposal to prevent drainage issues on my counter?

I believe we should connect the hose from the dishwasher to the garbage disposal and then connect the garbage disposal to this extra hose. Right now, it’s draining out onto my counter. Do you have any ideas on how to fix this?

When the drain tube gets clogged where it connects to your disposal or drain pipe, simply remove it and attempt to clear the blockage.

So basically, this device prevents your kitchen sink from backing up into your dishwasher. I often remove these for customers since they tend to cause problems. You can make it work by securing the dispensing hose as high as possible above the sink bowl and connecting it to your disposal.

Sorry, doesn’t know how to respond to yours.

In the case of a new installation, the connection may be correct, but there is a plug inside the disposal that must be removed before attaching a dishwasher drain line.

It’s common for licensed plumbers to overlook removing the garbage disposer plug. Have you verified that? Another issue could be a pinched tube from the vent to the disposer due to a tight bend.

Try loosening the clamp on the left side of the black tube connected to the disposal and remove any blockage.

Hey , did you recently install it? I don’t think you’ve responded to that question before.

Hey, , did you remember to remove the plastic disk after detaching the hose from the disposal? It’s super easy, you don’t even need to lower the disposal from the hanger bracket.

Make sure to remove the knockout from the garbage disposal by unhooking the black line and knocking it out.
