How can I properly attach stem casters to a metal bed frame with hollow legs and thin metal without compromising its stability?

Hey, can anyone assist me in figuring out how to attach stem casters to a metal bed frame? The casters have plastic toppers that allow them to swivel. I think the legs are hollow and have plastic plugs, but I’m not sure they can support the weight of the frame and mattress. I was considering adding a plate to screw them into, but I’m concerned the metal might be too thin for screws. I could really use some guidance on this, I’m feeling a bit lost!
I found myself in a similar situation, wasting hours going down the same path. Eventually, I managed to find a solution that worked. However, it wasn’t long before I remembered why we disliked beds with casters. They were noisy, unstable, and constantly moving around, scratching the floors. That’s when I decided to place the bed on small plastic slider discs from the dollar store. This way, even my wife can easily move the bed if necessary to clean along the wall.
This is the approach we took, and it’s been very successful thanks to !
That’s a fantastic idea, thanks !
Let me suggest a bed frame that offers complete support. Customize the height and decide whether to use it with or without a bed frame.
Create a wooden plug by drilling a hole in the middle.
