How can I paint over the blue in this?

Does anyone happen to know how to paint this? I’m thinking about changing the blue color.
For one approach, start by cleaning with Krud Kutter, sanding with 320 grit paper, and wiping down with denatured alcohol. Then apply two coats of bonding primer and two coats of urethane or polyurethane paint. If you want a smooth finish, consider spraying the paint.
Before painting, make sure to sand/rough up the surface and apply alkyd primer followed by alkyd paint.
