How can I install radiant heat and epoxy floors on a concrete slab if they may not bond properly?

We’re redoing our floors because of water damage from a leaky washer. Our house is on a concrete slab. We were thinking about putting in radiant heat in the kitchen and bathrooms, and doing epoxy floors in the whole house. But we heard that might not work because the new layer of concrete for the radiant heat might not stick to the old concrete. How do people have both radiant heat and epoxy floors? What am I not getting?
If the concrete is bare and unstained, you should be fine to apply a bonding agent and pour new concrete. If you’re considering installing floor heating, plan on adding at least an inch of new concrete.
Hey, have you considered whether polished concrete might be a better or easier option, ?
Radiant tubes with a boiler must be installed at least 2” above the existing slab. This is typically done during the initial pouring. It can get quite pricey and you’ll still need an air handler and ducts for AC.
