How can I improve the ridge lines on my roof to fix the hundreds of exposed nails from the previous work?

Hey, do you think there’s a better way to handle these ridge lines? I’m in the process of redoing the entire roof because the previous work left hundreds of exposed nails – it’s a bit of a mess, to be honest!
There should be a shingle overlay along the entire top edge. The only nail left uncovered should be the last one you cover with tar. You can find helpful tutorials on YouTube that explain this in detail.
