How can I hang a curtain on a window right next to a frequently opened door?

What do you think we should do about getting a curtain rod for this window? The tricky part is that it’s right next to a door that gets opened frequently!
A petite rod paired with sheer curtains could do the trick.
How tall is the doorway? Place the rod above the doorframe. It could make the windows appear bigger.
