Do you have any suggestions on how I can fix or prevent further damage to this corner of the ceiling? It’s right at the bottom of the stairs, at an angle of about 140-150 degrees, and it’s starting to crack and peel.
Remove everything, put in a new corner bead and plaster, unless there is sufficient space to add a few pieces of flat trim, which is a quick and easy solution
Hey , I do have space for flat trim. Could you possibly send me a picture showing how it would look on this sloped tray ceiling? I’ve been struggling to find a durable flexible corner bead that won’t crack over time.
Hey, , send me a message and I’ll check if I can locate a picture for you.
There are flexible plastic corners available. Also, consider using a paper corner with metal reinforcement.
Good luck with those pictures sent you on Messenger!
No-Coat brand tape with metal reinforcement.
Scrape off all of that and then reapply spackle, sand, and paint
