How can I fix cracked and crumbled grout in my relatively new bathroom without tearing up the floor – would grey silicone work?

I recently bought a flat with a fairly new bathroom, but the floor tiles are giving me some trouble. Due to the slight flex in the floorboards, the grout between the tiles has cracked and crumbled in spots. The tiles themselves are still secure, thankfully.

I’m trying to figure out the best way to fix this without ripping up the entire floor. Re-grouting doesn’t seem like a good long-term solution. Would it be a good idea to use grey silicone instead? Thanks for any advice you can offer.

You know, epoxy grout might just be the solution

A grout that’s easy to work with. Comes premixed in buckets.

If it were up to me, I would recommend removing the tile, installing a 1/4″ cement board underlayment, and then redoing the floor. While I’m not an expert, I believe this approach would make the floor sturdier and provide a more stable base that is less prone to flexing. I understand that this may not be the advice you were hoping for, but I think it’s worth considering.
