How can I fix a shower pan with a misplaced drain assembly – would gluing or siliconing the drain flange to the pan be the only option, or are there other creative solutions?

Hey, so I made a mistake. The shower pan was tiled before the drain assembly was put on. I think the only way to fix it is to glue or silicone the drain flange to the pan. Any other suggestions are welcome.
Quick update – the wingtite drain is the solution!
If you’re able to cut out the ceiling or floor below, you can install it correctly.
Oh, I forgot to say it’s actually a basement shower. So there’s concrete involved.
Have you ever tried searching online for a shower drain that is installed from the top of the shower?
‘t forget about the WingTite shower drain. No problem!
That’s a great idea
Oh wow, you’re right. Thanks a lot. I had a feeling there was something like this out there.
It’s kind of strange that it’s a relatively new thing
That’s one way to do it.
You’ve got all the necessary items there except for the tool used to tighten the nut
There seems to be some sort of adhesive on the piece, you may need to purchase an internal pipe cutter (a small saw blade on a pole that fits into a drill chuck and cuts the pipe from the inside) to align it properly though
Nothing lasts forever. The base is too flexible, causing frequent leaks.
I have to admit I was wrong. I had never come across wingtite before. This would have been helpful years ago. I can’t even count how many times I’ve had to replace a pan or struggled to replace it from below

You’re such a copycat!
