Hey, does anyone know any tricks for making walls longer?
Take out the baseboard, frame it with 2x?, then add drywall, mud, and finish. A 1/4 inch tolerance is usually fine for this type of project.
Hey , thanks for your input! Any advice on how to lay out the frames? This is my first time framing.
Hey , I wanted to ask – are you thinking of hanging a door or just leaving it open? And what tools do you have on hand? Feel comfortable with a hammer? (What’s your experience level?)
I’m planning to hang a 44 X 88 sliding barn door that I crafted in a wood shop. I already have the necessary hardware for installation. Along with a hammer drill, regular drill, and a few other handy tools at my disposal. In terms of experience, I just graduated from college and this will be my inaugural renovation project. But I’m good at following instructions.

When you’re working on studs and Sheetrock, just use your common sense.
Right, I mean, it’s pretty logical for any recent college graduate to be aware of that… maybe show a little understanding and drop the attitude because I’m sure there was a time when you didn’t have all this knowledge.
