How can I effectively use paper corner bead and mud for a cleaner look when covering a raw edge after taking out a wall and cabinets?

I really appreciate being added to the group. Your expertise is much appreciated!
We just removed a wall and some cabinets and installed tiles on the wall. This left us with a rough edge. I initially made a wooden cover to put over it, like trim. But now I’m considering using paper corner bead and mud for a neater finish.
I’ve never done this before, so I was wondering if you have any advice on using corner bead and mud. Thank you in advance!
I’m curious, what’s the reason for tiling before finishing the drywall?
Hey , that’s a great question! I already have the trim ready to go, but I had to make some adjustments to fit it in. Just looking at it now, I’m wondering if there’s a way to make it look smoother.
Hey, do you happen to have some spare tile to extend it to the end of the wall?
Hey , thanks for bringing this up! We did consider it, but it looks a bit funky with that little ledge.
Hey , that’s a good point! Maybe they just didn’t know any better, haha. My ex actually told me I didn’t need to use corner bead, so I proceeded without it. Now, I’m regretting it and taking everything back down to do the corner bead 🤦♀️.
It is possible, but you’ll have to find a way to fill the gap between the tile and drywall.
Seems like we’ll need to do some trimming here.
Topher might have to head back to do some more trimming. Appreciate it!
Try filling the corner using a fast-setting compound such as Durabond. Avoid overfilling since it can be difficult to sand. Once it’s dry, apply mud to a paper-faced metal outside cornerbead as shown in the photo.
Oh, thanks a bunch

It’s important to use metal cornering instead of paper. It may require a bit more mud and skill, but it’s a straightforward process.
Another option is to find wood that complements the existing wood and install it like a beam. It’s a simpler solution. I’ll share a photo of a project we completed. My goal was to achieve the appearance of a concealed beam instead of a corner.
Just wanted to express my gratitude for all the feedback. Corner bead really saved the day. Thank you for your suggestions.
