How can I effectively repair a small gash in my IKEA bathroom countertop made of fiberboard, plastic foil, high-pressure melamine laminate with marble effect?

I’m thinking about fixing this little scratch on our bathroom countertop. It’s from IKEA and made of fiberboard, plastic foil, and high-pressure melamine laminate with a marble effect. Has anyone had luck fixing something similar before? Any suggestions on how to tackle this?
Cover the surrounding area and apply 2 pack epoxy to fill the scratch. Allow it to dry before sanding it smooth with a fine wet and dry sandpaper. Use touch up pens to paint over the scratch, which are provided to hide chips during counter top installation.
Thermofoil repair is not possible.
