Hey everyone! I’m working on renovating a home and I need some help with removing this bathroom medicine cabinet. Any tips on how to take it down and get those stubborn nails out? They’re really flat against the metal.
You could try a pry bar unless you’re looking to preserve it. If preservation is your goal, grind the nail heads off.
How about a cat’s paw?
Maybe consider using pliers?
Try using a slim prybar to loosen them, then use pliers to extract the screws. If you’re throwing it away, feel free to use more forceful tools.
Drill out the heads.
Are you planning on keeping it? Go ahead and cut the heads off with an angle grinder. Make sure to use screws with finishing washers when installing the new one.

Opt for a hole saw with a small diameter.
When removing nails, start with a hammer and a painter’s 5 in 1 tool before switching to a pry bar or cat’s paw.
