How can I effectively add picture frame moulding to my dining, living, and entry rooms with all the essential tips and warnings?

We cut two 4×4 blocks of wood to check the spaces between the molding, baseboards, etc. It was easier to keep everything consistent by balancing the frames on the blocks instead of measuring and drawing lines.
