For the past week, every time I try to use the shower or the kitchen sink with warm water, the pipes start making this high-pitched noise. It’s really annoying. Do you have any idea what might be causing this? Oh, and just so you know, my house has two floors and the water heater tank is on the second floor.
‘t forget to check the pressure. Ensure all valves are open under the sinks and replace the cartridge in the shower.
You might want to consider calling a licensed plumber as there could be various causes for the issue. It’s best to avoid unnecessary stress.
Hey Flaherty, can you lend a hand?
Please make sure to check the pressure.
If you notice air in the pipes, try letting the water run for a bit or releasing pressure from the water heater
Hey , do you know how to release pressure from a water heater?
Hey there! Remember, there’s a relief valve on every water heater that should look like this one, they’re all identical.
Hey , I located it and let out some pressure, but how long should I keep it down? Or should I just hold it until the pressure stops?
Hey there! Just wait until you hear water running through, it shouldn’t be long.
Got it. Thanks a lot!
