How can I alter the tone/color of my reddish oak interior window trim and casings without painting them, considering they are exposed to the outside when open?

Hey there! I’m in search of recommendations on how to soften or alter the color of the interior window trim and casings. They’re Pella swing out windows with all wood casing, frame, and trim. Right now they have a reddish oak hue. I’m not keen on painting them because they’re exposed to the outside when open. Any ideas?
For the best results, sand it, prime it using a high-quality stain-blocking primer, and then paint it with exterior paint. Using exterior paint, if done correctly, won’t be an issue even if it’s exposed to the outside.
Hey , thanks! I was actually looking to use a stain and sealer of some sort to showcase the wood grain.
Have you given Heirloom all in one stain a shot? It’s super simple to apply and yields fantastic results on wood. I used it on an old antique dresser without sanding or stripping, and it looked amazing when I was finished.
