How can I address the foundation issues in my house with a transferable warranty on previous work?

We put our house up for sale and have been busy fixing it up for the past few months. We decided to paint the staircase to match the rest of the house, but now the foundation issues are much more noticeable. Our house, built in 1984, has known foundation issues that were previously addressed by the seller with a transferable warranty. It is included in the disclosure. Any advice on how to fix this?
Board and batten, shiplap… haha
Do you remember which type of paint finish you used? Flat paint tends to hide imperfections better than satin
Those mud joints don’t look too great in my opinion
A poor drywall fix. You have two choices – either extend the float and apply more texture or, if you want it done properly, cut it out and redo it to avoid that noticeable bulge
So basically, the problem is a bad drywall job combined with settling cracking. Foundation issues can exacerbate it but it’s kind of natural. What you can do is trim out the compound at the joint with a utility knife, then retape and mud the joint, and also extend the float out a bit more.
Not the best drywall job ever
‘t worry, this is a common occurrence. But it can be fixed by spreading some drywall compound.
Adding some lovely wainscoting could hide all of that

Hey , were these walls experiencing the same problems prior to being fixed?
I’m dealing with the same drywall issues
Make sure to step up your mud game by using your 10” blade to spread and blend those lines smoothly
Just a heads up – if you’ve been transparent about it, you’re in good shape. It might be beneficial to get a report from an engineer or someone confirming that there hasn’t been any additional damage. Trying to hide things can backfire on you, especially if I’m the one making the purchase. I’ve flipped enough homes to be familiar with all the tactics, haha!
It seems like a poor drywall installation. It might not be a gap, but due to the home’s expansion and contraction (especially in colder weather), it’s failing. Remove the panel, inspect behind the wall, and redo the job correctly.
‘t worry if you’re new to drywall, ! It’s not a difficult task and if you make a mistake, you can always fix it. It’s a small area so you can handle it!
Remove the drywall joint. Replace the joint tape with durabond and fiber tape.
