How can I address a cornice lifting from the ceiling as a beginner in DIY projects?

I’m new to DIY and wondering what I can do to fix the cornice that’s starting to lift away from the ceiling. Any advice? Thanks in advance.
Scrape, seal with caulk, and then paint over the seam.
If it moves, you should reseal it because the caulk will end up coming apart again.
Apply drywall mud, then paint over it
Apply a line of caulk on the boards, repaint, and you’re all set
Look for ceiling joists, lift up, and secure with nails. If working on a wall without backing, nail in different directions to secure in place while lifting up. Fill in any gaps with putty, caulk, then paint. 🤗
