How can I access the cross pipe to change the washer on the left tap without completely removing it?

I gotta switch out the washer on the left side connection. Any tips for removing the ‘cross pipe’ to get to it? Should I take off the left tap entirely first? I’m a total newbie at this, so please be gentle with me. 🥰
Who did this? It looks like a bit of a mess. I would personally start over from the beginning and do it right.
So you removed the old parts to replace the washers. Those are ferrules underneath the dots you took out. If the leak was there, then something wasn’t tightened correctly. Apply pipe dope to the threads and ferrules for a better seal
