I don’t have any experience with home remodeling, so I could really use some advice on how to install shelving in this cabinet. Thanks a bunch! 😀
Drill 1/4 inch holes on the sides and purchase the pins, then place the shelves on the pins.
Asked where to buy shelves in the appropriate size, wondering if they can be found at Home Depot or if specific measurements need to be ordered. Apologies for the newbie questions! Thanks a lot 🙂
Suggested getting white melamine shelves with a white strip on the front from Home Depot, then cutting them to fit.
Mentioned that you can find them at Home Depot, and they might even cut them to the length you need.
An unidentified participant mentioned that the interior resembles drywall. It’s not sufficient to only drill 1/4” holes and insert pins. Cleats or shelf registers need to be installed. Personally, I utilized shelf resisters. Home Depot carries these items and can even cut the shelving they offer to the required size.
These are definitely cleats. The distance between shelves is set, however
Expressed gratitude! I’ll definitely explore this more!
Hey , that’s not drywall – it’s actually melamine.

Just head over to the storage solutions section of your nearby home improvement store. You’ll discover a variety of simple solutions.
There are plenty of resources on this topic available on YouTube.
You could also have someone construct a shelf unit that is 1/4 inch smaller than the opening and place it inside.
Try getting a 1×12 and cutting two pieces to half the interior height. Then cut another piece that is 1/4” shorter than the width. Attach the shorter pieces under each end and slide it inside the cabinet.
Milk Crates could be a good option.
