Have you found a tool that effectively cuts barbed wire, as two pairs of bolt cutters have failed to do so?

Do you know what can cut through barbed wire? I’ve given two pairs of bolt cutters a shot, but no luck. Thanks for any suggestions.

Is a big fan of these. Definitely my favorite hand tool.

I prefer linesman’s pliers. Quality can vary. The last ones I had didn’t have a cutter strong enough for nails and screws.

Linesman pliers, side cutters, and snips are all essential tools for cutting different materials. Bolt cutters may not be the best choice for wire or thin strands, as they work better on solid bolts.

There is a significant contrast among the various brands of cutting pliers. My Channellock brand diagonal cutters can easily slice through a 16-penny nail. In contrast, a budget side cutter will struggle to cut electric fence wire. If you’re going to invest, go for a high-quality option like Channellock, Knipex, or Klein.

I personally like using lineman pliers. I own knipex ones. They may be pricey, but they can cut through anything.

Just hop over and make a run for it.
Start with fencing pliers and then move up as needed. Do you have a power source nearby or are you fishing in your neighbor’s pond?
